Special Music

Vanessa Ellison
St. Paul UMC Summit Street

Vanessa Westbrooks Ellison says music is the soundtrack of her life, faith and joy! The retired school teacher was nurtured in a large musical family that grew up with her mother’s mantra, “Keep a song in your heart.” She is anchored in faith with her life-long membership and service at her beloved St. Paul UMC-Summit St. Gainesville, GA. Vanessa has sang and led in choirs, bands and ensembles for over forty years. She is often requested to sing for worship and community events, as well as memorials and local productions. Vanessa’s passions and service continues through volunteering and leadership with United Women of Faith, St. Paul Mission Outreach, Sunshine Seniors Food Distribution, Homeless and Student Success Advocacy, Educational Consulting, and 4.0 to Go Tutoring. For Vanessa music is an extension of scripture and prayers that is able to unify us all through Jesus Christ.
