Murphy Harpst: Give Joy to a Child This Christmas

Give Joy to a Child this Christmas!

Counties across Georgia are struggling under the weight of an overwhelming need: abused and neglected young people far outnumber the resources available to care for them. For 100 years, Murphy-Harpst, a United Methodist foster care home and resource center in Cedartown, GA, has stood in the gap—working alongside local and state agencies to provide residential treatment, specialized foster care placements, and community programs for at-risk children and their families.

During the month of November, Kids Ministry, Student Ministry, and the Preschool will collect donations to purchase Christmas gifts for children at Murphy-Harpst.

Virtual Shopping Party
On Wednesday, November 20, in the Children’s Worship Center, Kids Ministry and Student Ministry will host a virtual shopping party using the money collected to purchase items from Murphy-Harpst’s Amazon Wish List.

How to Give
Kids can bring cash to church and give it directly to Mary Lina or Emilie, or families can give online by clicking the button below. Be sure to select the Murphy Harpst Fund.

This project is a special opportunity for our children and students to come together in generosity. Encourage your kids to start saving their money from chores, birthdays, or allowances—and bring it to church anytime they see Mary Lina or Emilie.

Together, we can make Christmas brighter for children who need to feel God’s love and hope.

Giving Goal: $600
