The Sunday Brunch Club
August 9 - May 23 / Sundays 9:45-10:45am
Breakfast is on the menu, but it's not the main course. After cooking and eating together, students in 6th-12th grade take a deeper look at the scripture they'll hear in worship that morning, wrestle with big questions, and discover how God's story connects to their own.
527 / Sunday Evening
August 16 - November 29 / Sundays 5-7pm
Messy games. Tasty dinners. Hanging with Friends. Sunday nights are packed with energy and friendly competition as we gather around tables, worship alongside friends, and discover that following Jesus is an adventure worth living.
Tuesday Morning Jumpstart
August 18 - December 15 / Tuesdays 7-7:45am
Centered around a student- led devotional, JumpStart is a high-energy, fast-paced breakfast gathering at Longstreet Cafe on Riverside where friendships grow, students lead, and faith gets a seat at the table long before the first bell rings. GFUMC provides transportation to Gainesville Middle School East, Lakeview Academy, North Hall Middle and High School, and Gainesville High School.
Mdwk Small Groups
August 12 - November 18 / Wednesdays 6-7:15pm
In the midst of their busy weekly rhythm, MDWK Small Groups give 6th-12th grade students a chance to slow down, have fun, and connect with a trusted few about what's going on in their life. Through Scripture reading and discussion, students will experience encouragement and accountability, grow in character, and take practical steps in following Jesus.
Confirmation
September- April / 9:45-10:45am
Before we say "I believe," we need to be able to stay "why." Confirmation is a year-long commitment that intentionally creates space for that. What do Christians believe? Why does going to church matter? How do I know God is real? Through weekly classes, retreats, service projects, a Confirmation mentor, and hands-on-experiences, 7th grade students will explore what we believe, what it means to be a follower of Jesus, and what it means to be a member of the church.
