Quilting & Sewing Ministry
Quilts and prayer shawls are made, prayed over and given to those experiencing serious illnesses. In addition, special prayer quilts are given to babies at their baptism.
This ministry is always looking for seamstresses to care for our congregation. If you are interested in serving, please contact Louise Meyer at 678-450-5982 for more information.

Members are needed to cut fabric and put together “kits” for others to sew. There is a closet full of donated fabric to choose from along with patterns for all projects.
Members are needed to sew kits together. Only basic sewing machine skills are needed. Quilting instruction is provided. Quilting and Great Day of Service kits may be taken home and completed at your leisure.
The actual attaching of a quilt top to the batting and backing is done on a long arm quilting machine by Marie Bennett. Members are responsible for making the quilt top and back then binding the finished quilt.
Fabric donations are appreciated – only 100% cotton, no polyester, fleece or flannel. Cash donations go to batting and other expenses.
