Living Waters Services in the Reception Hall
The Sanctuary Worship Services at Gainesville First United Methodist Church incorporate hymns, prayer, scripture,
and sermon as well as a children’s sermon. Holy Communion is celebrated on the first Sunday of the month,
and the sacrament of Christian baptism is frequently observed. Stirring music by the Chancel Choir,
special music provided by our youth and children's choirs, and occasional special instrumental music make
this service a vital part of our worship as a congregation.
Our Lakeside Worship Service in our "Sanctuary Without Walls" is offered from May to September at 8:30 a.m.
This service is held in our outdoor sanctuary by the lake. The lakeside service is very casual. Bring your lawn chairs,
picnic blankets, or use the wooden benches provided. There is a special brick-paved area at the entrance to
Lakeside for those with physical limitations.
The Living Waters Praise & Worship Services are casual and informal. The music in this service is led by
The Living Waters Praise Team leading the congregation in a more contemporary praise and worship style of music.
Words to the music are projected onto two screens. Children are invited to participate in Kid's Alive to hear their
own special message. Holy Communion is celebrated on the first Sunday of the month,
and the sacrament of Christian baptism is frequently observed.
*Loving childcare is offered for infants - 2 years old during all worship services.

If you are unable to attend services, we offer the 10:55 a.m. Sanctuary worship service by
radio broadcast live on AM 1240 WGGA. All sermons are posted on the web at www.gfumc.com/sermons.
