Our Nursery staff is committed to providing quality care for the children in our care. The goal of the Nursery Ministry at Gainesville First UMC is to ensure that every child and parent who comes to the nursery sees and experiences God. We want to make sure your child feels safe, secure and loved. You'll find a child-friendly atmosphere with murals of Noah and all the animals. We also have a unique loft area which is a great place for our older children to play.

All children receive Bible lessons taught at their appropriate age level each Sunday. We want our children to feel the love of God and our church family from the very beginning.

The Nursery is divided into five areas for children up to 2 years of age:

1. Little Lambs
2. Toddling Turtles
3. Tiny Tigers
4. Bouncy Bears
5. Zippy Zebras

-State-of-the-art computer safety system.

-Arrive early to register or update a photo.

-For easier transitioning we would appreciate it if you would leave/pick up your child at the nursery room door.

-If you are involved in an ongoing ministry and your child will miss 2 or more consecutive weeks, please notify your leader or Maria Wold.

-Nursing Mothers room available.

-Apple juice and crackers or bite-size cereal are provided for snack.

-Please label all your child’s belongings (esp. cups or snacks).

-Peanut-free environment.

-Keep child at home if any of the following occurred within the previous 24 hours:  fever, diarrhea, vomiting, runny nose with infection, questionable rashes, persistent coughing, pink eye, or if your child started an antibiotic.

-Please notify us of any health or custody issue.

Safety Procedures
Each room has two experienced nursery workers who have submitted to nationwide law enforcement background checks, and have training in CPR and First Aid.

The Nursery Ministry is more than diapers and toys, the ministry of the nursery touches lives for eternity!
