Health and Wholeness Ministry
Promoting the Christian message of healing the body, mind,
and spirit among all persons within our church and community.
“Do you not know that you are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit dwells in you?”
I Corinthians 3:16
The role of the Parish Nurse was developed in response to the perceived need of many churches to address the interrelationships of faith and health by promoting “whole person health in members of their congregations.” This is by caring for the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of our members. The Parish Nurse serves on the staff of both the church and the Gwinnett Hospital System, and her role includes the following:
Health Educator & Advocate
Personal Health Counselor
Facilitator of Volunteers
Referral Source
