How to Become a Christian Becoming a Christian begins with a recognition of your need. A person who does not have a need does not want a Savior. But the Bible says we do have a need "All have sinned and come short of the glory of God's standard" (Romans 3:23). Not only that, the penalty of sin is eternal death: "The wages of sin is death." (Romans 6:23).
Not only must we see our need, but we must also realize that no one can WORK his way to God "For by grace are you saved, through faith; it is a gift of God, not of works."Ephesians 2:8-9).
What is the solution to the predicament? It's not a "what" but a "Who" The Lord Jesus Christ. The Bible tells us that Christ died for our sins, was buried, and rose again the third day (I Cor. 15:3-4). He paid the penalty for our sins on the cross.
What must you do? Repent and believe in Christ. Trust in Him and His death on the cross for your salvation. Do it now! Tell Him you trust Him, and then thank Him for eternal life.
