Congregational Care Ministry

Congregational Care is among the top priorities at Gainesville First United Methodist Church.
The Congregational Care Ministry is a comprehensive, intentional program, for members of all ages.
Where needs develop, every effort will be made to address, with appropriate care, assistance for those needs.

Follow-up Ministry
This is a visitation ministry for those experiencing:
persons who experience a death in their family,
post-hospital visits, and at-home visits for persons
who have been sick. |

Older Adult Ministry
Gadabouts is a program for active older adults each
Wednesday at 11 a.m. and lunch at 12 noon in the
Reception Hall. We have a special celebration for
birthdays and all major holidays. This is a great
opportunity to hear intersting speakers and
enjoy a time of fellowship with others.
The cost of lunch is $3/person.
Reservations are not necessary. |

Homebound/Assisted Living
Visitation Ministry
This is a visitation ministry for those at-home adults
and those placed in an assisted living facility
or nursing home. If you know of someone who
would like acaregiver or if you would like to
volunteer for this ministry,

Stephen Ministry
This program provides distinctively Christian, one-to-one, confidential care to those who are experiencing many
kinds of life needs and circumstances including,
but not limited to, cancer, death, divorce, and job loss. Laypersons administering this program undergo
extensive training. If you or someone you know
could benefit from a Stephen Minister,
